I'm experimenting with a webstie called ideascale.com. It will allow you to submit ideas for the game, vote on them, and discuss them.April 07, 2009 at 05:34PM View BBCode
Will it remember my IP address so I can't vote for my own suggestions 100 times?April 07, 2009 at 06:19PM View BBCode
I've set it up to require a login to vote. It only takes a second to register.April 07, 2009 at 06:34PM View formatted

I am guessing that is also the case, or perhaps you need to log in first?April 07, 2009 at 07:21PM View BBCode
In the left column, there is a box that shows how many votes something got. For example, the first item has 7 votes at the moment. Directly above and below the number 7, you should see links for Vote Up and Vote Down. Do you see those?April 07, 2009 at 07:31PM View BBCode
I did not get a confirming email (been an hour) and thus can not vote.April 07, 2009 at 07:34PM View BBCode
I don't see how many votes or anything. It functions just like my phones menus. I'm guessing they are trying to engineer a mobile side that isn't completed yet.April 07, 2009 at 07:44PM View BBCode
Dwight - when you are on a normal computer, compare what you see on your IPhone vs. your computer and let me know what's wrong.April 07, 2009 at 07:45PM View BBCode
I've disabled the requirement for email addresses - try it again bart.April 07, 2009 at 07:48PM View BBCode

I was able to cast a vote the first time I saw this post. Now I cannot cast a vote. It is not accepting my email address and/or password.April 07, 2009 at 08:17PM View BBCode
Why not have us log on with our screen name and SD password? You'll have to signup for a login e to use with this system. Down the road, I might enable single sign on, but it is pricey and will take some technical work.

heck, we can't vote for president without people voting twice or a dozen times. If people want to register a dozen times on that site or simdynasty it would be awful hard to stop them. Hopefully people just stay honest on this. I imagine if you look at a list of who voted it should be evident if someone is cheating.April 07, 2009 at 08:58PM View BBCode
Yeah, the problem is that before I required a login, I didn't have an idea of who voted for what. Now I have a list.April 07, 2009 at 10:11PM View BBCode
I like it thus far, though I woudl recommend separate pages for separate categories.April 08, 2009 at 02:15PM View BBCode
though I woudl recommend separate pages for separate categories.THere are links along the left hand side for each category, you can view all Ideas in that category. After we get about 50 ideas, I'm going to redefine the categories and organize it a bit more.

a nice idea. i found it easy to use. i also like how this method ensures that good ideas don't get lost inside long threads.April 08, 2009 at 08:04PM View BBCode
If this has already been said, my apologies. The site uses cookies or some such to keep me from voting twice. So although I could go to another computer (rather, use a different IP), it's not likely to occur, so I think the way it is set up now is sufficient for our needs, in terms of voting. The point about categorization is a good one, and as we see what types of suggestions are made, it might help structure the categories so they all have a similar number of ideas.April 08, 2009 at 09:07PM View BBCode
Yeah, I'd like to see categories sooner rather than later-its beginning to get unwieldy.April 08, 2009 at 09:36PM View BBCode
This is a cool idea.April 09, 2009 at 03:54PM View BBCode
Ok, I've done my best to come up with more categories.Pages: 1 2
