I want to Join an active League!

July 27, 2009 at 02:20AM View BBCode

Hey everyone! I've been playing in a trial league and I love the game. I want to join an active and serious league but I don't really have a lot of money to shell out. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Take a look at the [url=http://www.simdynasty.com/oldforum-viewthread.jsp?tid=112070]Orlando Cepeda League[/url]. Currently there aren't any openings, but one may become available soon.

On your home page there is a link to the list of leagues currently looking for new owners.

the HCL is the best league ever. It's VERY active. Plus, we have HAPPY!

i am looking to leave the Ed Oneill league that just got started. it should be a good league as it has many good owners, but one is a bit too serious for my liking. as a matter of fact you will find him right above this post.

if you would like get in on the ground floor in what could be one of the best leagues in simd, drop me an email at ronald.frederick@verizon.net so we can discuss. i don't want to give this team to just anyone.

Well there are reasons for that of course.

1. It could be done so that new leagues start and old ones die on a regular basis but really, the point of joining a league is for the continuity of it so that's not a good idea.

2. Thus there are two things to look at for Admin before they start a new league. a) How many openings in existing leagues are there that should be filled before a new one begins. b) if we've got league A ending at this time of year and we start League B at the same time then in 8 months we'll have both League A and League B ending and will need the replacement owners for both those leagues at that time.

Truthfully, I blame the economy. When I started there would be new leagues starting almost on a monthly basis without issues of how to refill them. I knew several players who had 10+ teams at a time, with the economic slowdown one of the impacts on SD has been that very few people are carrying that many teams currently with most significantly cut back. As a result the need for new/fresh leagues just isn't there.
