I also think Joey Votto deserves a spot but given the depth at 1B it's tough, though he is having a better year than Howard .

I'm surprised that Youkilis was left off the AL squad but I guess Ortiz is the fans fave .I also think Joey Votto deserves a spot but given the depth at 1B it's tough, though he is having a better year than Howard .

I don't like the new rules, but the purpose of the game is to give the fans what they want, so I suppose they make sense.

It surprises me how many people have not heard of Votto. He's got a great name, but so did Gload and Fordyce, and their careers sadly didn't amount to much.I don't like the new rules, but the purpose of the game is to give the fans what they want, so I suppose they make sense.

if you think there are 20 guys who deserve the all star team who didnt make it, you are kinda missing the point of the all star team.
