Playoff Race

May 07, 2004 at 01:18AM View BBCode

With 12 games left in the season the post season berths are almost decided.
In the NL; Brooklyn and Chicago have already started printing playoff tickets even though St. Louis is still mathematiclly alive.
In the AL; Detroit has locked up home field advantage while New York, Kansas City & Cleveland battle for the final playoff spot.

---------------------------------------------------------------

My team won the coveted John McGraw trophy last season and will be trying for a repeat this year. You could say its a dynasty without having to pay for a dynasty league.

10 to go...
Detroit just clinched the AL title and you, mr chicago clinched at least a tie.
the AL could have 4 100 game winners and 4 100 game losers.

looks like you are going to be challanged for that title...

Yes indeed.

Good luck teams. I'm hoping to keep my spot and a chance at the WS, but regardless let's show those Brawlers what our AL teams can do! :)

This is really coming down to the wire. 3 games left Im 3 out of a tie with a series against Detroit. Pretty cool.

Well its official. The playoffs are set. My heavy hitting Rockers could not hang on to the Wild Card. The Dingos dominated the AL this year. Good luck to you all.

brooklyn is only 7-17 vs chicago and got swept 4 times. but brooklyn is due.

my dingos are 14-10 vs kc. but that is 20% of my losses.

i'll say detroit vs brooklyn in the series. detroit wins in 5.

good luck everyone.

Game 5 NLCS 9th inning with the score 3-2, Brooklyns Jeff Faulkner on third representing the tying run is thrown out at the plate by Chicago left fielder Lee Van Deyard to end any hopes of advancing to the world series.

World Series matchup - Chicago vs Kansas City
Show up at the yard early because tickets are limited.
