Predictions

March 27, 2012 at 11:26PM View BBCode

The season's starting up again. Who ends up where?

My thoughts:

AL EAST
NYY- winner
BOS- wild card b
TB
TOR
BAL

AL CENTRAL
DET- winner
KC
CLE
CWS
MIN

AL WEST
LAA- winner
TEX- wild card a
SEA
OAK

NL EAST
PHI- winner
MIA- wild card a
ATL- wild card b
WAS
NYM

NL CENTRAL
MIL- winner
STL
CIN
PIT
CHC
HOU

NL WEST
ARI- winner
COL
SF
LAD
SD

ALWC- Texas over Boston in, of course, one game
NLWC- Atlanta over Miami, again, in one game

ALDS 1- Texas vs. Detroit, Rangers win in 5
ALDS 2- New York vs. LA, LA wins in 4, sadly
NLDS 1- Milwaukee vs. Philadelphia, Phillies win in 4
NLDS 2- Atlanta vs. Arizona, Braves win in 4

ALCS- Rangers vs. Angels, Angels win in 7
NLCS- Braves vs. Phillies, Phillies win in 5

World Series- Angels vs. Phillies (or Phillies vs. Angels, since I don't really care about ASG predictions), Angels in 6.

These are all just semi random guesses. Any other opinions?

why the of course one game when there is only one game? just wondering if it's more then a 1 game playoff, just curious really of if thats how the new format works?

I am 99 pct sure it's a one game playoff.

"Of course one game" meaning its one game, so they'll obviously win the round in one game.

It's a one game playoff between the two wild card teams with the winner advancing the the best of five divisional playoffs.

I predict the Mariners will win 3-1 in 11 innings on opening day, and Ich will go 4-5 in front of the "home" fans...

(also, after seeing the M's play the A's, the Japanese will logically assume that American Major League Baseball sucks.)

I'm sure they've thought that for years...

...they've been getting Mariner's broadcasts in Japan ever since Ichiro began playing for Seattle.

You are viewing the raw post code; this allows you to copy a message with BBCode formatting intact.
yeah, but that could all have been CGI, or cheesy primitive special fx like the Moon Landing.

((speaking of the yankees, have you seen them in spring training? jeter looks like he aged about five years this offseason. it ain't no wonder that little girl dumped him.))

In all honesty, I don't see him producing as well in the lead off spot. As much as I hate to say it.

the ah, they aren't going to make it through the season with him leading off, if they do, he will be about the worst leadoff hitter in the American League. that nunez kid should play about almost every day, moving around all over everywhere. he is nice. jeter is a boat for them now. a big old hole they pour money into.

jeter has had a funny career, in a way. he was so overrated for so long that he was actually underrated for a while. now he's just done but the yankees still pay him big bucks to not finish his career in someone else's jersey.

Jeter was really only ever over rated by the folks voting for the Gold Glove, you know the managers and coaches in the game, plus he got sodomized in the 2006 MVP voting.

As for overpaying him to finish his career in pinstripes, well it's not like the Yankees are hurting for cash .

Although apparently, Hal Steinbrenner is trying to be the first in the family to acknowledge the luxury tax.
