Why are players drafted a year after they Graduate ?

I see this a lot, Barry Cain, Class of '81 drafted in 1982, Nick Fifer, Class of '83 drafted in 1984 etc.

25 of my 45 active players in the EFL are in this category, I don't think you ever see this in the NFL, it's the reverse with under classmen declaring.

Probably just a math bug I never caught. I'll look at it.

OK, I found and fixed this. Class year was correct for players created in the initial drafts (because these are created in simulated March) but wrong for players created for college drafts (because they are created in simulated September).

But it's not wrong for all college players, or are the ones whose draft year matches their class year actually supposed to be early entries ?

Yes. Those are likely the ones that declared as juniors. It's really a dumb bug, I can't believe I never noticed it before.
