A starting pitcher gets hurt and you aren't camped on your computer so can't adjust before his next start so ABE starts your long reliever and as a result your entire bullpen rotation gets messed up.
Why not have a "backup" page for SPs as we do for hitters ? There are many times when I'd rather use a higher endurance pitcher than my long reliever but I don't have that option.

it wouldn't even necessarily have to be a page. just add a drop down for "emergency starter" to the rotation/bullpen page.

simply leave the pitcher in its spot (just like the hitters stay in their spot) in rotation and use the existing logic to choose the starter at gametime. thank........you. i am sure i cannot be the only person who does not care that the schedule shows an injured pitcher is going to start.
(what could be more simple and then we wouldn't have to come back and put the dopey thing back into the rotation. did you see what i did? there are two instances of the word "back" in that sentence. that is never a good thing, except in word porn. this could also go hand in hand with the magic starting pitcher backup page suggested here.)

I agree so many MLB teams have this feature where that one guy can be an emergency starter in spot situations, the easy fix could be just what Dirtdevil said.Pages: 1
