Tim Freese, on his career, converted 83/177 in CvL. Bringing him from D- all the way to A.

Yeah, no variable development, either. When I traded for him I figured he'd be a platoon guy, but was obviously wrong.

one thing is for sure. a skill has to suck really profoundly to hit 87 conversions.

Especially when it "only" gets to, at best, 92.

Not 87 in a category but just as impressive IMO given that conversion rates for pitchers are lower, plus he's only OS26 so might get a few more. Note this is a variable development league but still .
Leroy Brown, six full grades in velocity, he's 97 now, 7 full grades in control, he's 82 now, and almost 4 full grades in endurance.
Of course according to many of the people in the game this stuff never happens.

it happens sometimes. it's never a good thing to plan on though.

and, he is bad. there is that.
He's actually not named after that Leroy Brown but rather this one.
The Buckeye renames are almost exclusively fictional detectives, and since Brown was so impressive at a young age I chose an homage to a young detective .

Dude, Encyclopedia Brown was my
childhood. Big blast from the past to see a reference here.
