If Mongrel put together a chatroom through IRC would you be interested in using it? Often?

Sometimes, in the short period I have been involved in this there have been games that were rather interesting and it would have been nice to have a discussion about it.
If, for instance,a pitcher throws a no hitter or a batter has a five hit night, or something it would be a good place to highlight it, as well as possibly select a player of the week or something.
Wish it would happen.

I would use it. I think it would be a much better way for owners in the leagues I am involved in to discuss trades.

It'll also I think contribute to more of a community feeling since we'll actually be able to chat with each other instead of just making random posts.

Thanks, TR. I would do some sessions if we got a chat room up and running again. Would need moderator privileges though. Getting to boot people and ban their IP if they get unruly is wonderful. :)

So I'll have time to get back to my somewhat neglected teams and sit down and put this together. Even though we don't have a ton of interest, I think as word spreads it could become very useful.
It's going to be on IRC, which has a hierarchy of moderator privs on it, so I think we can work out a good way to run it and hopefully keep it tame. I should be able to set it up with a browser based portal, but IRC also has separate clients which can be quite nice to use. I'd expect there's even good Android/iPhone apps.
Personally I think it would be a huge help in trade negotiations.

Ok, my work life is insane this time of year, the harvest is just about done, so it will start to resemble normal life in the next couple weeks.So I'll have time to get back to my somewhat neglected teams and sit down and put this together.
