As of today, sim-7-13-2006 in the Goose Goslin League - my guy Jack Jackson is the starting pitcher for the AL in our non-existent all-star game, and his teammate Ken Perry is a reserve, but neither is even on the leaderboard for the Cy Young.

It's not as odd as you think. Jackson not being on the CYA list is slightly odd, but the #3 all-star misses that list a lot. Different formula for the 2 votes, plus relievers can get on that CYA list.

The Cy Young uses the Neyer-James formula : The formula is: ((5*IP/9)-ER) + (SO/12) + (SV*2.5) + Shutouts + ((W*6)-(L*2)) + 12 points if your team makes the playoffs.
Oakland and Boston are in the playoff spots right now so there pitchers are getting the bonus.
