Here are the instructions for signing up for a team. Its pretty simple. Go to http://www.simdynasty.com/beta/ and click Signup. Create a screen name and signup for a single season team. Screennames between the beta site and regular site don't intermingle.
You can ignore the verification email - you don't need to verify your email.
Some leagues will be setup using the old draft system, some will use the new. I will try to rename the leagues to specify which is being used so you can help with finding bugs. But until they are renamed, the leagues will be called things like single2, single3, single4, etc.
When we go live with this in September, all Dynasty leagues will be using the new system. A handful of single season leagues will also use the system (the first 5 leagues). The rest of single season leagues and short season leagues will use the old system. Over time, we will look to move more of the full-season, single season leagues over to the new draft system - but we're going to take it slow to make sure its not too much of a load on the server. I'm not sure yet if we'll ever let short-season leagues use the new system.

The teams won't play any games. I'll let you play with the settings for a few days and run the drafts sometime this weekend or early next week.

TL...I am in an old draft setup....What will be diferent?

A lot of the links have changed, and we added Draft Order so you can see the initial draft order before the draft - so check that out as well.

Hopefully nothing will be different and it will work the same way it has in the past, but we haven't tested that yet. If you're in the old draft league, please test out and set prefs, etc. I have a hodgepodge of old and new draft leagues setup - people will get randomly placed in them.A lot of the links have changed, and we added Draft Order so you can see the initial draft order before the draft - so check that out as well.

I think the leagues should fill up alternatively - one old, one new, one old, one new, etc.

If possible, I'd like to have 3 leagues using the old draft system, and 3 or more using the new draft system.

I thought it would put people in the new league first - but the old one seems to be the one getting the teams first. Sorry about that - I *think* the next league to fill will use the new draft system.If possible, I'd like to have 3 leagues using the old draft system, and 3 or more using the new draft system.

You can signup for multiple leagues. It doesn't matter to me how many teams people take.

Old Draft1 will not let me set my draft settings, it reverts back to your original setup. Is this suppose to happen at this time.Jack Beta2

Had a tough time changing some of the settings I thought.
Then first time I saved them straight to an error page
I went back thru the browser and was able to save successfully!
If there is anything else I can do please ask!

Well I've got a team in old and new at this point. New settings are saving but the old ones still aren't.

wow this is something, i got the new draft. never seen an a+ player in a draft until now.

We've changed the talent levels for initial drafts to more closely match where leagues end up in the 1960s.
