Should Biggio be elected into the HOF?

With all this talk about who's in, shouldn't be in, where does Biggio fit? Currently at 2930 hits, Biggio appears to be a lock for 3,000 (provided he stays healthy enough) and the HOF. Outside of Palmerio, what other 3,000 hit member didn't get in on his first try.
Historically, Biggio has never been a true offensive threat like maybe alomar or other comptemperies. However, what he has is consistency like Murray had. He has always been able to put up at least 150 hits, score 80 plus runs, and steal at least 25-35 bases for an average of 12 plus seasons.
The major knock on him from most ppl is that he didn't post stats like Bagwell; he didn't need to, that wasn't his job. He did well just fine by getting on base, taking walks, getting those doubles (637), and playing great D. He's tough, gritty, hard-nosed, and has always contributed to his teams' success. Thats what ppl like about him. Getting in the hall shouldn't be tough for him at all.

So many things wrong with this one, among them "spelling," "not yet eligible" and "Pete Rose."

While it is true that "Raffy" ( thats how you spell his nickname here in Baltimore) is not yet eligible for the hall, he sure has the stats for it. But he won't get in on his first, maybe second try for his "involvment" with steriods. Second, I forgot about Rose. Again, has the stats, but gambled, lied, and costed himself that chance. Then again you forgot to mention that he can't get in until Bud or whoever after him decides to reinstate him. Third, you didn't answer the post, you just decided to point out my mistakes.

Everyone in MLB history that has been hit by at least 280 pitches is already in the Hall. Biggio is a shoe in at 282.

What response are you looking for?
Biggio is a Hall of Famer. He will one day be in the Hall of Fame. No one disputes this. End of discussion.

Agreed, Biggio is in regardless of whether he gets to 3,000 or not. This shouldn't even be an argument...

The sportswriters that comprise the majority of Hall of Fame voters love Biggio "type" players. For the longest time I thought he might take a year or two to get in (no doubt that he will definitely make it) but I'm now expecting him to receive the nod on his first attempt. Not just for his skill and accumulated numbers but equally in a backhanded slap at all of the "steriod era" sluggers that will be standing in line.

Biggio is in. That 3000 hits is a magic number but will he make on his first eligible vote?
