Playoff Suspense and the Resuls Page

I've made a change to the Results page. If the series is already over, it will still display a "dummy" link so that you won't know. Just in case you haven't watched all the games.

The link will take you to a page that tells you the series is already over.

I haven't been able to test this yet, so please keep an eye out when the league reaches the postseason.

That is a terrific change for those of us who like to watch the games. I hate having to scroll carefully because I'm inherantly a sloppy kind of guy.

It seems to work, see the results page now. I had to make some small changes, but I think it is working correctly.

Worked like a charm. It allowed me to see allow the games without see who won during 'break' at work.

The Kids won their first ever WS in Beta.

Was this only implemented for the World Series? The ALCS is at 4 games, without the 3 dummy games. Had this been a real league, I would have been disappointed considering the playoffs were over when I checked and my team was obviously swept in the ALCS after watching just one game. Admittedly, the same result would have occurred had I scrolled down and not seen my team's name on the WS links.

That's what I figured. I can change it to show the dummy links for the LCS too? But I figured people would see they weren't in the WS and add 2 and 2 together.

Are there dummy links for the LCS that then disappear when the WS starts? Is that what's going on?

Another thing I can't tell because the playoffs are over: do the dummy boxscores all have the same URL? That is, if I clicked on a dummy LCS game, will dummy WS games appear as "followed" links?

I bet I could have answered these questions if I'd just looked while the playoffs were running, but I see you kinda booked through them.

Each playoff series has a unique link.

Awesome change!! A couple times I have gotten home from work really excited to watch the playoff games. And even if you are really carefull, you will still end up seeing that the series only went 5 games. You know if you lose 2 games, why watch the rest, and if you win 2, why watch the rest. Everytime that has occured, it bummed me out. I like to watch the playoff games!! Thanks for this change TY!!!:D -Bruno
