I just got all five of the B rated or better players from the waiver wire...i am laughing my ass off right nowSeptember 01, 2007 at 08:00PM View BBCode
I saw that, nice job.September 02, 2007 at 08:50PM View BBCode
Upon further inspection you are one lucky guy. Here are the players that you got from the Chicago Ivyheads over the course of the season:September 03, 2007 at 12:18AM View BBCode
and with the most recent pickups, i'm now on track to make the playoffsSeptember 03, 2007 at 01:18AM View BBCode
It should most certainly help you to make the playoffs but the guys obtained after September 1st will be ineligible to play in the playoffs. They are marked in "orange" on your depth chart.September 03, 2007 at 01:57AM View BBCode
well once i get there i can beat you with what ive already got :PSeptember 03, 2007 at 02:00AM View BBCode
It's happened to me before. This is my second season and I won my division by twenty games last year. I was then promptly swept out of the playoffs.:(September 03, 2007 at 06:11AM View BBCode
last season my team made the playoffs as 2nd seed and i swept both the ALCS and the world series...so i've got history on my side too...September 04, 2007 at 07:25PM View BBCode
it has nothing to do with luck. once again i was away for 4 days when all this happened so i cannot be certain, but if your team was crappy enough to claim those guys, i wouldn't be bragging about it.September 04, 2007 at 07:35PM View BBCode
hmmm...must be nice to be a playoff contender and get to claim decent players.September 04, 2007 at 09:06PM View BBCode
everyone had the same chance to claim them. Noone knew they'd show up on the wire in advance or until they just happened to look.September 04, 2007 at 11:38PM View BBCode
To say we all had a chance to claim them is a little disingenuous. My record was better than yours at the time so you always had dibs and you always had a chance to pull them back if someone else put in a claim for them.September 05, 2007 at 12:56AM View BBCode
Its also not accurate to say that everyone had the same chance. If 5 teams claim all 5 of these players the team with the worst record will get all 5. Normally its not a problem because the decent players usually don't end up on the waiver wire (unless someone is trying to sneak a player to the minors) but in a situation like this it can dramatically affect the balance of power in a league.September 05, 2007 at 02:52AM View BBCode
also, usually when they do go on waivers, the teams with the really low records get them so it doesn't affect things too much. i just got lucky that nobody with a lower record than me tried to claim them. and i had probably the the 6th best record or so...and it wasn't like i got the players and all of a sudden started winning all my games. i've been winning about the same amount as before i got themSeptember 05, 2007 at 03:12AM View formatted

how would it be collusion when more than half the teams are behind me in the standings? There is no way anyone could have known i would get those players.Pages: 1
