They will get more than their payroll in revenue sharing money, meaning that the Yankees, Dodgers, Phillies etc. are essentially paying the salaries of the Astros. Pittsburgh did this for years, collecting more than their payroll out of the revenue sharing pot then fielding terrible teams while essentially banking millions a year.

Theyve stated they plan on building from within, like what the Rays had done for those few seasons and now they seem to have a few young guys a year come up and be very solid
