One of the North Koreans is sobbing. Presumably over the fate that awaits his family, should N. Korea fail to score their prescribed nine points.

The All Blacks too. Rugby/Austrailian Rules Football is much better than I ever thought it would be.

you didn't get the memo? brasil has a new coach. in english, you can call him dopey. and he has brought brasil (kicking and screaming) into the beauties of boring eurofutbol.

(the folks are kind of expecting the team to fail. the i told you so factor is huge for the brasilians. they'll be talking about it for years. decades even.)

(If N. Korea finish this half at a draw, Kim Jong-il might just be emboldened to push the button.)

They're all forners, but not all of them have The Chairman.

I like the idea of North Korea doing well. Who knows what kind of craziness would accompany that.

Every time No. Korea have gone on the attack, I've gotten this involuntary reaction from somewhere in my subconscious self, where I want to see them score. Every bit of my conscious self is rooting for Brazil.

Also, it occurs to me too late that this is probably more appropriate to China. But,

"They all look the same."

Sorry I thought getting the names perfectly correct was important to you with all your sobbing about Cote D'Ivoire .

And if you're having sex with my Mom then the World Cup is moot because nuclear holocaust has occurred, plus I'm pretty sure you'd have trouble with the whole sex with live women thing anyway.

I'm sure it would be fine, she'd be unlikely to notice something that small anyway.

Maybe a minute after the goal my TV screen went black for about five seconds, and I am not going to lie to you guys, I started to worry.

So I hope to god what Martin Tyler just said -- about the North Korean supporters being actors handpicked from China -- is the truth.

"the korean fans are not actually fans. they are handpicked chinese actors who were selected to play the role of Korean fans."

wow.
