Well, if the Astros win it will have to be in 7, lol, but somehow I really doubt thats gonna happen.

THE WORST ball and strike umpiring I've ever seen in a postseason. Way too much inconsistency.
On Saturday, I said the series was too close to call. My wife said White Sox in 4.

Yeah. Oswalt didn't have the explosive fastball--you could see that early on. He got away with it early, but they hit some real shots in that fifth inning. The floating strike zone was a factor, but he threw some real meatballs up there.THE WORST ball and strike umpiring I've ever seen in a postseason. Way too much inconsistency.

Your wife is a very smart person, not many people predicted the white sox sweeping. Its over and now I have to suffer for a whole 6 or 7 months with no baseball. :(

There is no question that the winners of each LCS and the World Series earned their wins, but that doesn't change the fact that we saw a good number of incorrect calls - most just bad breaks but a few that were poor officiating.
Just because it might not have changed things, doesn't mean it didn't happen. A good team will play through bad breaks - even some of the big ones that happened this post season - and it wasn't like the Cardinals, Angels or Astros just barely lost the series they played in. Still, there were more poor calls and less consistancy in the strike zone than one expects in the post-season.

The Yankees did just barely lose the series though thanks to Joe west!

It was a bad, bad postseason for officiating. I've never seen it so bad. It also seemed like the umpires circled the wagons after the criticism started. I didn't get the sense that they were working together to get the calls right.
