When an average reliever is getting the highest-leverage innings, something has gone seriously wrong.

Orioles have a deep mediocre bullpen, which is the type of bullpen that you might pull the starters early when you have totally worthless shouldnt even be in the majors starters.

so what, exactly, is your argument then?

The Orioles were just what the doctor ordered for my struggling Red Sox.

Radhames Liz - terrible pitcher, or the worst pitcher in the history of the universe?

well, i was talking about pitch count, and the fact that I thought they were taking the starters out early, but then later I added that it might be a good strategy because of the players on the team...

(Just FYI, most people either stick with the subject or dont post.)

Is that the guy with the 67 ERA? Rick Dempsey was making fun of him on MASN, saying something about his batting average was lower than his ERA or something else ridiculous. I was watching the satellite TV and eating all-you-can-eat pizza after the game was over.

We really hate it when a game starts that early, btw. Please ask the Kenyans to sleep in. It's what the patriots would want.

His career ERA is north of 7 in a little more than 100 innings. He walks.....a lot of guys.

I thought you got rid of Daniel Cabrera. Can you ask him to give Radhames Liz his jersey back?

(I cannot wait for ABE to create the player Radhames Mahomes.)

They've already optioned him back to Norfolk (which was expected, since the team needed to make room for Brad Bergesen.)

Is he really going to wear #3? MASN had it up, but I imagine that was just the number he wore at AAA.

I haven't the faintest idea.

you know, liz was supposed to be a pretty good prospect for us. but pitchers...you know how it goes...

Daniel Cabrera was, for a time, one of those guys I would draft in the last round of my fantasy league every single year, telling myself "this is the year he figures it out."

That should give you a pretty good idea of my fantasy baseball skills.

Because man, can he lay down a sweet-lookin' bunt.

Oh, baby.

LOL. as bad as cabrera could pitch on occasion (also he had some flashes of just greatness really) nothing was as painful as watching him try to do other baseball related activities, like swing the bat or bunt, or catch the ball. the guy didn't even play baseball when he was a kid.

Well, he's already had a couple really nice bunts this season. Billy Ripken's got nothing on him.

Not to mention, he finally put a ball in play (groundout) and actually reached base (four-pitch walk) -- I think in the same game.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the pitcher (not Cabrera, I mean; the Marlin who walked him) was promptly taken out back and shot.
