Twelve's not bad, now if he can toss seven more he'll tie Bill Thompson, though Bill still has 100 more shutouts !!!!!!

Jim Pregenzer has now pitched 107 consecutive scoreless innings.

Make that 121 innings.

Nope...135 innings.

Streak reached 151.2 IP, before San Diego scored on him...twice in one inning.

Since then, he's pitched another 14.1 scoreless innings.

If he gets to 162 and qualifies for the ERA title, I may just sit him down for the rest of the season. Worst he could do is tie for the single-season ERA record.

Yes...the scoreless streak was snapped at 151.2 IP. Eat your heart out, Orel Hershiser!

Jim Pregenzer was tough to score on last year - 151.2 consecutive scoreless innings.

This year, he's unhittable - 29.2 consecutive HITLESS innings, two no-hitters, one a perfect game.

Miami must be feeling pretty snake-bit. This is the third or fourth season they've won the regular season with a double-digit lead, then lost in the playoffs.

that team can't hit. runs win games.

(six runs in six games=the best recipe for losing anyone could ever hope for.)

(it didn't have anything like a dominant record against brooklyn. the matchup is what counts. it doesn't match up well, thats all.)

Well to be honest none of the teams in Beta can hit, Brooklyn are currently leading the league with an OPS of .618., to put that in perspective that's basically fielding a full team of Lenn Sakata's.

yeah, what i meant was the hitters for miami are just not very good. they are walk drawers. the pitchers for brooklyn don't issue walks. but, its just hard to figure out what sort of hitter can hit now.
