Awwwwww, poor yankeekid, can't handle your precious Yankees getting knocked off their peg? Try being a Mariners fan...October 12, 2005 at 01:58AM View BBCode
lol, yeah, a Cubs fan would be pretty bad if your really old. Or not really old, either way, but worse if your old cuz you would be around forever and still not have a world series ring.October 12, 2005 at 02:01AM View BBCode
You truly have a way with words. You, on a good day, are like WB Yeats on an average day.October 12, 2005 at 04:12AM View BBCode

The Cubs, Indians, White Sox, Giants and Mariners have all been to the playoffs in the last 5 years, whereas the Royals have been a grease fire for over a decade. That's a lifetime in sports, and the title they won might as well have been in 1885. Expos/Nationals, Tigers and Brewers fans (along with Royals fans) all have a case for "suckiest team to root for in baseball", but any team that has made the playoffs recently doesn't get to complain just because they didn't actually win the whole thing.October 12, 2005 at 04:09PM View BBCode
Most Royals fans saw or, at the very least, were alive when their team last won a title. One decade of mediocrity doesn't erase the fact that the Royals were a very good baseball team as recently as the 1980s, just as four playoff trips in seven seasons doesn't change the fact that the Mariners have been fucking awful throughout most of their history.October 12, 2005 at 04:33PM View BBCode
As a Brewers fan I can say the memory of a 1982 ALCS win when I was 13 years old doesn't exactly remove the shame of 12 consecutive loosing seasons broken only this year by a .500 record.October 12, 2005 at 04:52PM View BBCode

The Royals won a title in 1985, which is relatively recently. Ask a Cubs, Indians, Mariners, Expos, Giants or White Sox fan.
