I knew there was a reason I was a fan of the guy, short of his hotness.
Nobody told me he had gone on the DL til I got a bulletin this afternoon... Sad face.
First time ever.... My superhero is human after all, and he'll be the first to admit it.
On averaging 157 games per season since becoming a regular with the Blue Jays in 1998: "I was proud of that," Green said. "I told guys every year that I was indestructible."
Hope your foot gets better, Shawny. I'll even come kiss it and make it better if you insist.

If Green had landed in New York 10 years earlier, he would have become John McGraw's elusive White Whale, 70 years too late of course. But he didn't go to the Big Apple until age had robbed him of most of his power and all of his fielding, and that's just the way it goes.
