Rockies/ BoSox

A veteran team against mostly young upstarts...where have I seen this before?

Boston is back in the big dance for the 2nd time in 3 seasons. The Rockies...well this is their 1st time ever. Although the Rockies were first in runs scored in baseball, I'm still picking the Bosox to win in six. Although the Rockies won 21 of their last 22 gms, I'm still picking Boston to win. Why? EXPERIENCE.
Sunday night proved it. Boston was down 3 gms to 2 and still came back to win. Although they have an older roster, they can still get the job done; with experience comes patience at the plate and wisdom against opposing pitchers. The question is not how will they keep up with the younger Rockies, but will they be able to avoid the pitfalls that would have them looking at an 3-0 hole again. My answer is yes.

2nd time in 4 sesaons

down 3 games to 1 (yes they were also down 3 games to 2 after winning game 5)

wisdom against opposing pitchers? What are you talking about here?

Yes, it's experience that gives the Sox the edge, not the fact that they have quite a bit more talent.

3 to 1, 3 to 2, in both cases they were both "Must-Win" gms (same as in 04), which further displays their determination to go the distance, come back and win. As far as wisdom & opposing pitchers go, Boston has taken many pitches from pitchers and learned their patterns to get the hits they needed to score, which they will need going into Colorado; in the postseason, every hit counts, which is a by-product of patience at the plate, which is learned through trial and error against what else... opposing pitchers and their patterns.

For some reason I always feel as if you're talking to me with a mouthful of pebbles. I can't quite understand you although some of the words sound familiar

damn Rockies... now my Monday night football won't start 1/2 hour earlier.

I guess god was busy over the past few days taking care of other problems. his fantasy team (Rockies) suffered as a result. Been there god... life is more important.

Maybe he's too busy helping the Lions start 5-2. Now THAT is divine intervention.
