I haven't read the article because the implication here is that there have only ever been 4 pitchers to win the NL triple crown which is just not true.
Peavy's accomplishment is the 19th time it has happened in NL history. Its also happened 15 times in the AL and once in the AA.

It's still a rather misleading stat-typical of the ESPN stat gurus. You could similarly call it the 2nd in 20 years or 3rd in 30 years for the NL. When you draw lines like that without any reason behind where you (and when I say you I mean them) draw them its just misleading. Its something that ESPN is very good at.Pages: 1
