An experiment

If someone told you there was a high school whose basketball team, ahead by 30+ points, started intentionally fouling with about 3 minutes to go because they had an 11-game streak of scoring 100 points or more and wanted to preserve it, what state would you guess that school was in?

Texas

(Can I have Massachusetts as a second choice?)

You will not need your second choice.

The reaction of the team and commenters? Or Shep's response?

both.

(and for the record, as a cowboys fan i would respectfully suggest that dallas 55, buffalo 17 should preclude cowboys supporters from whining about someone running up the score against them. not that i didn't quite enjoy that game and all, but still.)

I do believe that Deke is the first rational Cowboys fan I have ever met.

i'd like to think there's more than one, but i don't really have any evidence to support that.

I actually have a few friends who are Cowboys fans, which is pretty strange, but I guess living in LA that is bound to happen. I don't really talk to most of them about football, but the one I do is pretty rational. But maybe he only seems rational to me because I am mostly "lol sports" at this point.

Sports really are quite silly, aren't they?

I remember watching one of my middle school girls basketball team, they lost like 72-6, it was pretty sad

Meanwhile, in other news, Keith Brooking continues complaining, and now claims the Cowboys were tanking for a better draft pick :)

I realize that I jumped in a bit late, but still, it was kinda obvious.

Also, Deke is a fantastic example of a rational fan. I used to be a Cowboys' fan until I realized what a completely crazy control freak it was who owns the team. After he ran Tom Landry out of town we all should have known better, but I stuck around until after Johnson. That was it for me. Jerry Jones is the reason I'm a hater now.

dirtdevil is for a fact the only rational cowboys fan.

Now, as a Vikings fan, I must go jump off a bridge, if I can fight through the mass of purple already on the bridge.

You cast your lot with Favre, and deserved everything you got.
