There has been a trade complaint on a recent trade:I get the following error message when clicking on the link above.
A trade has been completed between the Los Angeles Angels and the St. Louis Cardinals. The St. Louis Cardinals receive John Moore from the Los Angeles Angels in exchange for Bob Smith.
If we get 3 total complaints on a trade, the trade will be posted to the comments area so an expert can chime in and give their feedback. If 3 complaints are not received in the next 72 hours, the matter will be considered closed. To lodge a complaint, please visit http://www.simdynasty.com/tradevote.jsp?tradeid=240262&newsid=1061206520 or click the Trade Vote link found in the news item for the trade.

Note that the link in the message above is sent to the main site, not Beta. I am able to get the correct protest page when linking on the "Protest Trade" link in the news.September 24, 2011 at 05:46AM View BBCode
The message board poster isn't smart enough to make the link for Beta; I'm not going to add code for that. The in-game code should point to the right place. Did you get the alert on your home page properly before you voted?September 24, 2011 at 02:41PM View BBCode
Forgot to look... Had the bookmark set to the results page and went there directly.September 24, 2011 at 04:47PM View BBCode
Chris, I really like the way you display the "Protest this trade" warning after clicking on the "Protest This Trade" in the News.September 24, 2011 at 04:50PM View BBCode
The protest thread is in the Beta News forum but there is nothing on the home page, is this because there was already a protest of the St. Louis-LAA trade ?September 24, 2011 at 04:51PM View BBCode
I noticed that after I made the protest, an automatic message was posted on the Beta News message board... I assume that is how the new protest system will work.September 24, 2011 at 05:23PM View BBCode
Since you made the protest, it doesn't show on your home page because filing the protest is a vote. You only get a home page message if there are protests you haven't voted on, or if one of your own trades is under protest.September 24, 2011 at 05:26PM View BBCode

This should be fixed. (It was only looking at the first protest (which you had voted on), not all of them.)

Note the last line in the first paragraph... it should read:"Overturning a trade may not be used [color=red]as[/color] a strategic option."
