I only watch the NFL and the NBA, but baseball's the only sport I would only play a sim game of, because I am a stat geek and other sports don't have cool numbers.
I have a better question, why do you have a picture of Omar Little dressed as Brother Mouzone

the NBA is on fire, the strategic lockout gave us an awesome regular season with so many games every day, and we're probably about to get a first round including awesome matchups like Knicks-Heat and Grizzlies-Clippers. Sim-basketball would be cool, but I'd really like to see Sim Hockey!

Brother forgave Omar, and Omar thought that was so cool he took up the One True Faith. You didn't hear about it, because it didn't actually happen. Because Omar is deader than a hammer.

I agree with most of what you said except this part here. Basketball actually has a lot of advanced stats that are starting to surface (per, rebounding rate, pace, true shot percentage... Go to hoopdata.com if you want a site for advanced metrics with the NBA). The problem is it's harder to come up with advanced metrics for sports where the players aren't so isolated. (go thunder)

I agree with most of what you said except this part here. Basketball actually has a lot of advanced stats that are starting to surface (per, rebounding rate, pace, true shot percentage... yeah those stats are very interesting, but they don't mean much to me. If my Sim player had a 31 PER, i wouldn't give a crap, but when my pitcher wins 20 games in baseball I like that. I'm not into the baseball advanced stats either, although of course they are more meaningful in terms of usefulness, they are less meaningful in terms of my own personal definition of awesomeness.Go Knicks, if we can win one game it will be our best season in 11 years!

That may be one of the saddest things I've ever read, one of the NBA's "royalty franchises" hasn't won a playoff series since 2000 .

Meanwhile in that same time the "step children" (Nets) have been to 2 finals, won 85 more games (not including this year), and won 4 division titles (Knicks 0)

And as if things couldn't get even funnier, Amare goes down in the playoffs for the 2nd straight year, both times injuring himself while NOT playing (gotta be a record). Last year he hurt his back practicing slam dunks, because you know, those are the shots you really need to work on. And now he punches glass, cuz that never turns out bad. What an idiot.

oh thats right! come on Jesus we need Lin! i don't understand why Toney Douglas isn't playing, he can guard Wade and handle the rock a little. Bibby will probably be the next one to lose a leg, he's not gonna be able to play more than 20 minutesPages: 1
