Starting season early

June 05, 2012 at 06:11PM View BBCode

I need to test something on the backend related to tracking batters faced by pitchers, so I'm going to start your league back up now.

I love that you're over through 1999, and it's 1995.

Lol that could be the best tanking performance in the history of the league, if not game.

and i don't even have to pay the luxury tax. its just as good as KC signing everything for cheap because no one is bidding, right? we're going to starve craig out this season. no toys for him.

Whoa...exactly what are you testing, Tyson? Did you "raise the mounds"? lol

Offense appears to have dried up overnight. There are only three teams with even a .700 OPS. Maybe it is the result of a small sample size, but even the turd pitchers are looking like Aces.

The league I just ran was bonkers the other way. I'm tinkering with the formulas to try to get variance and league averages correct for different events. So the stats will be weird for a while.

Through 40 games there are only six teams with an ERA below 4.00 and six teams with an OPS of .750 or better, doesn't look like pitching is dominating to me.

There is [url=http://beta.simdynasty.com/player.jsp?playername=nobody&mode=stats&id=71260]this[/url] though, through six starts his whip is 1.07, his ERA is 1.14 and he's 3-1 with 41 Ks in 39.1 innings so yeah, maybe there is a problem.

Something is obviously not working, the Atlanta team is in first place near the end of May!

The whole thing flipped on its ear. Whatever Tyson did turned the offense back on in a big way.

Right now Chico Sprowl is leading the AL Cy Young Award, with Charlie Williams close behind. Williams has a 7 game streak of double digit strikeouts (started by a 19 K performance vs. Toronto)
