Gotta love the Playoffs

Over the course of those 38 starts he only once gave up more than three walks and only once gave up as many as five earned runs in a game, so of course in game one of the World Series he gives up five walks and seven earned runs in 4 1/3 innings.

my team in the beta league did something like that. i think it had to do with the hitters from the other team (the other playoff team, i mean) being fearsome walk drawers, more so than the whole body of all the teams from the regular season. darens' team is all about that walk. and of course there is the thing where it just has to be awesome wacky for the playoffs.
