I think it's time to find some active owners for Boston, Seattle, TB etc... I can appriciate big numbers but I can't see where the current setup is telling anybody anything.

Well I'm sure the numbers are telling Tyson something or he'd be more actively seeking new owners, this has been going on for quite awhile.

I did an early season trade between Detroit and LA to see what the league factor might be, and well.............................................................check out Bauer, Bosio, Plodinec and Papi .

it isn't interesting and it didn't start this season.

There were not 20 .400 average hitters last season. It seems even more skewed then ever is my point.

You reallly think I hadn't noticed any of this previous?

And yes to me it is interesting....

it isn't skewed. the teams get worse every year, thats all. there are teams that have no pitchers and no hitters. they give up 100 plus runs. in one game. it is an experiment to see how much numbers any given somehat decent something can run up against the waiver wire. it actually was done long ago in the olg.

(this league needs to be turned off and forgotten about. its a total waste of everyone's time.)

also, the game logs will tell you all you need to know. this thing right here?

http://beta.simdynasty.com/player.jsp?mode=player&playername=nobody&id=9807287

i ran the numbers up yesterday. against boston, it has 22 homers, 97 rbi, around 1.98 ops (the game logs don't give the hbp, so it shows lower on my spreadsheet than it really is) and a batting average of .748.

against KC? it is hitting .254 and ops'ing an awesome .733. because it actually is just kind of alright, and we are still using retarded batter/pitcher code that gives too much to the pitchers. KC's pitchers are just alright, nothing special.

(lol. i was going to say it was an A- pitching staff. that would actually be fairly charitable as it still has over 700 innings going to b+ pitchers.)

((its really incredible that we have all these hitters doing all this stuff but we are actually still off, and not on the hitting side, but still on the pitching side. but thats the reality of it. this code is still too kind to the pitchers. true story.))

I managed to have both my teams win 100 games this year, 2009, and both miss the playoffs, again. Once, 2006, can be considered a fluke but twice is true genius my friends.

In the last four seasons Detroit has won 500 games, and never made the playoffs, that is truly special.

Also Wayne Pena, hit .470 with 288 hits, 56 jacks 254 RBI and 286 runs scored and didn't start the All Star game at 2B.

yeah, that smith code bit got like 392 rbi. it was like, hey look. and that frye thing looked at it and said, "what, 358 hits? you can't hit at all. go sign with KC, you sorryass turd."

I also love the plate appearances, these guys routinely rack up 800+ plate appearances a year and Frye had 958 last year. Eight guys in the AL had more than 300 hits last year, it is the best(worst) thing ever.
