We have Active Player Stats Leaders, active owner leaders would be different but shouldn't be hard to code.
"Active" Owner Leaders

Several of the top owners in terms of Winning Pct. haven't played in any leagues in a while, I don't think it's very fair and also I'm not really interested in competing with guys who don't play anymore, there should be a list that ranks active owners, so we could see who's really the current reigning #1 and where we all rank among people we can actually compete with, if we want to join a league they're in.We have Active Player Stats Leaders, active owner leaders would be different but shouldn't be hard to code.

Secondly, how do you denote active from inactive? Keep a separate list of owners who have checked in within the last two weeks? A month?
Or is it a one-list thing like the League Leaders list where the owners who check in on a regular basis get an asterisk next to their name?

The owner leaders lists are under Owner > Owner Leaders.

I was just thinking that "active" would be defined as owners who are currently in at least one league.The owner leaders lists are under Owner > Owner Leaders.

in the left-most column, you can see he is not currently active in any leagues. When the formula or whatever runs to list the active owner leaders, it could eliminate him by looking at that column and finding no "active=yes" items.
There should also be leaders in terms of WS Apps and Playoff Apps by percentage, so far there is only total, which is somewhat useful, but mostly misleading.
And there should be awards leaders too, total and percentage, active and overall, by award type, CY, mvp, ROY.

I think the code could filter them easily, for example, the top owner in site history in Winning Pct. is a certain fellow name of Beringer, who has not been in a pay league in over 2 years real time. On his owner card, found here:http://simdynasty.com/owner.jsp?owner=Beringer

God I love this idea. So sick of leagues with 3 or 4 active guys and a bunch of people who stink and apparently like renewing and rotting.

The level of competition in different leagues is widely variant so drawing conclusions about an owner's abilities based on his overall winning percentage seems a waste of energy to me but to each his own.

Until the owner leaders uses a "prestige per season" ranking they are really pretty useless IMO.

exactly, there's a lot that could be done with it that I think would be pretty easy to code up.

Hopefully, it can happen soon, while I'm still a relative newbie with a decent Win %, and before my best team starts an upcoming massive rebuild. ;-)
