I'm having some trouble setting my lineup this week in fantasy football. On paper before the season I thought I had a great team but of course everyone is under performing. I have Wes Welker locked into the #1 WR spot. I need 2 RBs, 1 WR and a flex from these guys- CJ Spiller, Stevan Ridley, Frank Gore, Giovani Bernard, Pierre Garcon, Josh Gordon. It is a standard league (non PPR). Anyone have some advice? Thanks in advance!

avoid Ridley, nobody can run on Big Snacks and the boys! I'd go with Gore and Bernard i think at RB, but if Spiller's healthy, probly dont wanna sit him. Between him and Garcon for flex.
I should note that I'm historically about a .500 fantasy football player.

josh gordon 100% every weekavoid Ridley, nobody can run on Big Snacks and the boys! I'd go with Gore and Bernard i think at RB, but if Spiller's healthy, probly dont wanna sit him. Between him and Garcon for flex.
I should note that I'm historically about a .500 fantasy football player.

Haha me to. I always go into the season thinking I have a super team but between busts and injuries never really do that well :(

I'd go Bernard and Gore at RB and use Gordon and Garcon in the other 2 slots, Chicago has had trouble against the pass so I just have a feeling Garcon could have a big day.

Thanks, I think Garcon leads the league in targets so if he and RGIII can get on the same page he should start putting up some monster games.

I picked Spiller with my #1 pick. Should have picked Jamaal Charles instead.... I nabbed KC defense of waivers in week three, that is my highest scoring "team". I think I'd be ready to quit if I had your team. ;)

We are in the same boat there. I had the #6 pick and took Spiller. Charles went the next pick. Ugh what a disaster. Trust me its even worse than you know. Guess who my third round pick was? Anybody? Roddy censored White!!

So this week I'm going with Gore and Ridley and the RB spots and Welker and Garcon at WR. I'm not sure about flex though, I have Gordon in a tough matchup against KC, plus Jason Campbell (gag) is starting. My other option is Bernard in another bad matchup against the Jets second ranked run defense.

id use Bernard over Gordon. I wouldn't expect much in the way of rushing yards, but he should be good for some screens and dumpoffs. I think the Browns are gonna be a disaster, but then again that could mean some garbage time production for Gordon.In one league I currently have Nicks-Michael Floyd-Boykin penciled in with Josh Gordon on the bench...

Lucky bastard :lol: I would't start Floyd over Gordon though. Palmer isn't exactly having a Pro Bowl season.

Seems Gordon, Gore and Ridley had decent games. And Spiller didn't play... Jason Campbell had a decent game too. almost 300 passing yards, 2 TDs and 0 picks.

Yup, I left Spiller on the bench. Ridley was solid, Gordon and Gore were excellent. Bengals D gave me the win this week with 24 fantasy points off my Jets.

Yikes. IMO, this is the time of year that leagues are won. Being able to nab the up and comers, and the people that replace all the injured players. I picked 6th, and am now deciding, it is best to pick the best player available, rather than pick the leftovers of a position. Where would I be if I'd picked Calvin Johnson instead of CJ Spiller? If I'd gone with J Charles instead though, I'd probably be a little happier!

Off to a good start this week. Bengals D only gave me a disappointing 6 points but Bernard had a great game going for 104 total yards and 2 TDs on just 13 touches. His 35 yard touchdown run was amazing. Maybe the best run by anyone this season.

No kidding it has been my later players saving me so far. Antonio Brown, Danny Woodhead and Le'Veon Bell all picked on the later side along with Vernon Davis and Tony Romo (5th and 6th picks).I picked up Marvin Jones last week and got lucky with his 4 TD performance.

You need Mike James to replace martin... 20+ points in week 9. 166 rush/receive yards and a 2 yard TD pass. I didn't start him, thankfully didn't need him.

I need my WRs to pick it up and play somewhat consistently. If Roddy White can get healthy and put up his typical 15 pts/wk especially through our playoffs that would help.
Danny Woodhead really was the pick of my draft so far, I got him in round 10 and outside of week 1 has put up double digit points every week.

We was grabbed up already, we have a W to F waiver process for the first WW pick each week. I have been offered this trade. I would give up Matt Ryan and Josh Gordon (possibly Roddy White as well, but I am trying to convince him out of it) in exchange for Drew Brees and possibly Steve Smith. My roster is C.J. Spiller, Stevan Ridley, Giovani Bernard, Frank Gore, Wes Welker, Roddy White, Pierre Garcon, Josh Gordon, James Jones, Matt Ryan, Jay Cutler (will be dropped shortly), Greg Olsen, Heath Miller (will be dropped shortly), Cinci D, and Mason Crosby. Should I pull the trigger?

i think i would. my main concern would be Brees' schedule. Assuming your league's championship is in Week 16, 4 of the Saints final 6 fantasy weeks are on the road, where Brees is very good, but not the #1 option he is at the Superdome. In my league's scoring, he's scored no fewer than 31 points in his last 4 home games, and no more than 19 in his last 4 road games. Compounding this, the 2 games he is home for come against 2 of the top D's in the league, 9ers and Panthers. Perhaps you could use that argument to retain White in the deal. Even with the schedule, Brees is still a clear upgrade on Ryan. Losing Gordon is tough, but Garcon-Welker-random WR3 is still very good (is Crabtree owned?)Pages: 1 2
