Yes silly Yankees, they should have learned that giving $200M+ long term contracts to players that will be in their 40s when they end always works well.

I agree that not giving Cano the money that the Mariners gave him was a smart move by the Yanks. However, if they are going to give out terrible contracts (Ellsbury for 7/153 is horrid) I would rather them give that terrible contract to their own player, who also happens to be the best second baseman in baseball.
