The results ? Pittsburgh won 45 games last year, this year they're on pace to win 115. Texas didn't get the big love but they did sign some mid level guys and added a red letter starter from Pittsburgh when Pittsburgh ran into some cap issues but the Twisters are still on pace for a 30 game improvement in the standings.
Kind of makes we wish we had even 1 or 2 more real owners in the league .

So I got kind of tired of the 3 team leagues and had a bit of time on my hands when the OS was running and made some big moves on Pittsburgh's behalf and some smaller ones on Texas' behalf. There were a bunch of top end arms in the FA pool so I threw a ton of money in that area for Pittsburgh and ended up signing a pretty impressive rotation, #2 in the league. There wasn't a lot left over for bats but there were improvements there as well.The results ? Pittsburgh won 45 games last year, this year they're on pace to win 115. My team was only .500 against them, and they forced a wildcard playoff game. Nicely done, Roosters!

If I have time maybe I'll move some bodies around between the beta teams this OS and build up Texas as well.

Well if you spend $45M, actually closer to $50 but had to trade away $4.5M, on starting pitching chances are you'll win a few games. Probably should have saved a buck or two in the rotation and bought a couple more hitters, still Pittsburgh was 5th overall in offense and a 78 game improvement in the standings is nothing to sneeze at.If I have time maybe I'll move some bodies around between the beta teams this OS and build up Texas as well.

Sadly I didn't have time to do anything with the beta teams, or really my own. We need a system in this league where you get an email when the season ends, since there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it that I can ascertain .Pages: 1
