Why??? The Yanks bullpen wasn't that bad before, was it? Personally I think I'd rather have John Daly on the hill instead of him.

What, his 7.59 ERA with the Sox wasn't enough evidence that he was done. His fastbal was always straight and now its slow. That spell trouble no matter where you play

He's not going to get any significant innings. Most of the time he will just be in there for mop-up duty and we'll have to pray that he doesn't screw up. It's better to have him in there mopping up a blow out than have to waste Sturtze, Gordon, or Rivera and then have the big three burnt out by October (like last year).But yeah, he pretty much sucks.

Actually, if you look at Embrees stats he never has been a lefty specialist. In fact he has always faired better against RH batters. It mostly has to do withth eway his breaking pitch cuts rather than his pitching arm

Yeah, Embree throws mostly hard stuff and most lefty specialists throw sweeping breaking pitches.

Harold Reynolds certifies that he's an idiot. When he was talking about Embree on Baseball Tonight, Reyndols sputters out some half-assed blarney about how Embree is the bullpen savior and how he can get lefties out and something else but I was too busy screaming at the T.V. by then.Pages: 1
