Why not? It's obvious that the deal is happening, so Bowden playing coy with the media is just his way of jingling the keys. He's got such a boner for outfielders he's probably embarrassed about the incriminating DNA tests coming back from Sledge's physical. This man is a whoreson mouth-breathing vampire. Fuck you, Jim Bowden.
