Return of the brackets-SP edition-Walter Johnson wins

January 23, 2009 at 10:32PM View BBCode

Alright you know how this works. You may vote for 1 player per region per day and you may only vote for a player once per round so it will take 3 different people voting for a player to advance him. If you think that someone does not belong in the group of 64 you need to tell me who should be here instead. I will consider allowing write in campaigns if they don't get stupid.

bold players have advanced and votes for either in that pairing will not be counted

??

I guess he means "has yet to be selected 3 times"?

And he said you vote once per day, can you vote for the same guy twice, or do you vote for a different matchup?

(I'm all of a sudden paranoid that im going to screw up. And I want to vote for pedro again!)

Don't worry, happy, I'm sure I'll screw it up worse than you.

I'll take Matty over Welch, Johnson over Ruffing, Gibson over Bunning, and Glavine over Perry.

I'll also mention that Ciocotti is spelled "Cicotte."

Wait Bart I am confused - I voted for Tommy John, but now I notice that he is already Bold over Clemens. Did he get a free "not on the juice" pass or something?

Yeah Joss should probably go in there. I went through with a bunch of pitchers that I knew would be in and excluded Joss. Ended up with about 40 or so and should have added Joss back in during the next 24 but missed him.

If I were putting him in I'd probably knock Warneke out which would move Ruffing over to Region 3 still as the 16 seed. I'd also move Brown over to Region II as the 5 seed with Dean and everyone else dropping down a slot. Joss would probably fall about 13 with Waddell and everyone else up to Walsh moving up a slot.

Not going to do it at this point but that's where I'd be.
