This game was a perfect microcosm of the careers of Peyton Manning and Tom Brady.

Manning puts up a staggering 396 yards, but throws a pick when the chips are down.

Brady throws for only 186 yards, but completes 76% of his passes for a 123.1 passer rating.

Patriots win.

brady fails to maintain possession of the ball and the subsequent punt (i wonder why they didn't go for it?) makes the defense bail his ass out to save the game. pretty typical, yes.

I take joy in the lamentations of haters. Give me more.

I wonder if playing in blizzards in Foxboro and Buffalo vs indoors would affect a QB's stats...

How many blizzards has Wonder Boy played in?? More than Peyton I'm sure, but does it really matter???

I remain uncertain why it isn't possible that both are great quarterbacks. Why is it that there is such negativity that the greatness of one or the other can only be seen by denigrating the other. That seems foolish IMO

As a Jets fan it was very frustrating to see Peyton throw that late pick. Hopefully the Jets complete the sweep on monday night in a couple weeks

Because only athletes playing for teams from the Boston area can be great .

Haven't you learned anything from the years on the boards ?

TR, vurbil did start the tone but Dirt and Foli have continued it.

Now TR, I am a NE native and like some of the Boston teams (Redsox and Bruins), not a Pats fan at all.

I give credit to athletes no matter where they play, so please don't lump all of us into the likes of him.

I'm sorry hayward, my tongue was slightly in cheek when posting, but it does seem to me that fans of the New England based teams are much more affected with the "my guys are awesome everybody else sucks" syndrome than others .

Peyton is one of the best qb's of all time, easily, i do work with those guys who insist he sucks, and only the pats players are great.

I was really worried at the end of the game there, but the defense has seemed to step up enough to make plays when they need them

hey, we've all been down this rabbitt hole before. rather than go through the entire tediousness, we opted to short circuit the process. easier for all.

Of course Peyton Manning is a great quarterback, but I love hearing the whining and crying from haters.

And it is true that, while he is a great quarterback, he does have a tendency to play poorly in very important games or throw a pick at the worst possible time.
