We're going to a couple of Mariners series, daughter and I, sadly there is no MLB near us :D .

We've got tickets for two games against Atlanta in June and another 2 games in August, the Red Sox on a Sunday afternoon and then the Blue Jays on Monday night.

A client of mine has season tickets which he uses for entertaining and offered me these, good seats, 3B side lower box. Should be fun.

I wish I could go to a game.

My dad and I are taking a trip in the summer to CA. We're going to see all 5 CA teams (Angels, Dodgers, Giants, Athletics, Padres) and then I think we're going to Wrigley for a Cubs game. And we hope to hit some NYY games during the year.

My dad sells tickets to games and shows and stuff so we get to go with his leftovers. The thing is I don't know if we go until the day of.

Won't get to support my Braves on Opening Day, but I'm hoping to get to see them a lot this year--they should be good!

I'll be the Braves home opener next Friday. Plan to be there or the AAA Braves quite often if I can this year.

I'll be going to quite a few Royals games. They actually pay you at times to take those tickets. It's fun going to games where it's always David vs. Goliath.

We are hundreds of miles from the nearest MLB team (probably the Rangers or Rockies are the closest). But, we will be traveling through the central and widwest US the last 2 weeks of April. I wonder if I can convince my wife to stop for a baseball game ... hmmm

Abroad for the semester, so I'm unable to support my Phils in person (haven't been to Opening Day since I was six actually...back when they were giving tickets away!!).

Hoping to catch them when they come to DC over the summer. Nothing better than being able to root for your hometown team against a rival (which the Nats will be once that Harper comes up and the Phenom recovers from Tommy John).

Went to the Phils first game at the bank on Tuesday (exhibition against Pirates-Scout night so we got to walk around the warning track and touch the grass in LF).

Watching the Tigers/Yankees on ESPN. Love to hear after one batter how Sabathia is on track for another great season. Good to know we can project from one batter

And the first final is in the books. Atlanta 2 - Washington 0

Somewhere out there I picked Atlanta to win the WS (what am I smoking?), perhaps this is a sign? LOL

Hmmm, Yankees starter goes six strong and then they parade out Chamberlain, Soriano and Rivera for a perfect inning each to win.

Think we'll see that a few times this year ??

I think we will see that a lot. If the management has any sense at all, they'll keep doing it every chance they get and end up with 80+ appearances for all 3 RP's.

This is MLB, not SIM, hammy.

Rivera has never appeared in 80 games in a season in his career so I doubt he'll start at age 41, Chamberlain's career high is 73 and Benoit has never topped the 70 mark .

Benoit isn't even on the Yankees.

It was kind of a tough 6 innings for CC. But we made it through!

I was at the opener last year between the yanks and the sox. I still can't believe I survived the people in the Fenway bleachers in my Derek Jeter World Series Jersey!

Whatever, Soriano/Benoit - Cashman didn't want either of them and neither of them have ever pitched 80 games.

I guess I watched a different game, I saw Sabathia throw strike after strike and get a bit unlucky, if Cano doesn't make the error Sabathia gets the win .

He ended up taking Soriano to set up Mariano Rivera. You were right that he didn't want him, but he was overruled by management.

BTW- Final score, 3-6. Yankees Win. W- Joba Chamberlain, L- Phil Coke, SV- Mariano Rivera. For those who care.

I know it isn't sim. That's why I said 80 instead of 100. :spin:

There is no reason for a RP who only warms up and throws 1 inning at a time to NOT pitch every other day. No reason whatsoever.

They just baby the arms and worry about injuries and fear and fret, and what happens? Super-star invincible McAwesomeville need Tommy John surgery because pitcher injuries happen. They happen if you do everything perfectly and try to minimize risk and they happen if you use your best players and try to win.

Chamberlein - Soriano - Rivera

There's no reason why they shouldn't combine for over 250 innings. The Yankees aren't going to get 200 innings of the same caliber that those 3 can provide from any of their starters (except Sabathia), so they might as well take what they can.

they might not make 80 appearances, but they going to pitch a lot. borderline starters are going to eat innings at the front of the games, like middle relievers, they just going to be starting. big relievers get the quality innings, the hitters going to have to help them when the starters don't do well. that is the formula for the yankees this season. it has to be. they have to hit, thats all. their season isn't going to turn on starting pitching. its going to turn on hitting.

(also, if you think about starters going 4-6 innings, and then a parade of relievers? when do the hitters get comfortable on that? they see it twice at the most, then its somebody else. when the somebody elses are chamberlain.......soriano.......rivera (among others)? good luck.)

(and of course entirely different pitchers are going to finish the blowouts, and there will be plenty of those. because there are plenty of bad pitchers on the other teams. tons of them.)
