...that Boston fans have to root for the Yankees to win, in order for the Red Sox to make the playoffs. :lol:September 29, 2011 at 02:21PM View BBCode
that was hilarious. both teams who coughed up epic collapses also blew saves in the 9th to miss out on play-in games!September 29, 2011 at 06:37PM View BBCode

I find it equally amusing that the Mets who were 7th in MLB in team payroll didn't even finish at .500.
Was the Redsox collapse "EPIC"? Yes it was embarrasing for a team of players who make that much money give up like that and as a fan it is pathetic to watch.
At least the Redsox were in a race, Mets lol.

I think the 20 years part is actually being generous. Once in a lifetime is probably more like it.November 03, 2011 at 04:10PM View BBCode

Originally posted by haywardThe Mets weren't supposed to compete this season. There was a ridiculous amount of money tied up in the injured Johan Santana and the semi-injured Beltran. Clearly they've made a lot of bad decisions, but I've come to accept it and look forward to what I hope is an Alderson led turnaround. So this season hurt far less than the collapses in 2007 and 2008.
At least the Redsox were in a race, Mets lol.
