The Detroit Devastation downed the Brooklyn Bums in five games to capture the 1993 LTB World Series. It was the third championship in a row for Detroit, all victories over Brooklyn, and only the fourth in team history.
The victory capped a dramatic playoff run that saw Detroit roar back from a 3-0 deficit against Cleveland in the ALCS culminated by a dramatic walk off homer by veteran 2B Don Murchison in the bottom of the 13th inning of game 7 to punch the Devastation's ticket to the World Series after SS Mike Powell had homered in the bottom of the ninth to send the game into extra innings.
Powell, who reached 3,000 career hits earlier in the '93 campaign, was asked "what felt better ?" and replied quickly "the homer baby, c'mon a hit is just a hit but a 9th inning homer in game 7 - that's what every kid dreams of".

Congrats Rooster. Now, I must tell you that you're holding my crown until next year when Philadelphia returns to claim it once more.
