I don't know. Vicks arm isn't that great but I'm sure if he had Owens he would throw at least some more and if theres a bad throw that most people wouldn't get to T.O might real it in.

My favorite thing from this whole ordeal: when the reporter asked Rosenhaus if he had done anything for TO aside from getting him kicked off the team, and you could see TO grin in the background. Funniest sports moment since Manny turned into a Wideout to cut off Damon's throw.

Anything that involves Manny being dumb is getting old, but I still love it.

Rumors are already swirling in the local papers about Owens playing for the Jets in '06. Yeah, that would go over really well. They don't even have a quarterback yet and in New York T.O. will get even more opportunities to whine. This is all moot of course because the Jets are about $25 million over next year's estimated cap so it is extremely doubtful that they would be able to pay Owens.

Oh im sure there will be a little something in every football cities newspaper about Owens possibly playing for their team, why it would be good and why it would be bad, etc . .

Why would it be good? Because he's an awesome player.

Why would it be bad? Because he has serious mental issues.

That's about the extent of what they should be saying.

I see him ending up a Giant, to go with Shockey & Plaxico. Eli is turning into a stud, and if you look at McNabb's numbers without T.O., they are below average. It hurts to say that, because I've been a big fan of McNabb's since Syracuse, but I do think he is somewhat overrated. It's not the play you make that no other QB could make that makes a great QB, it's consistantly executing the ordinary plays perfect at a high percentage that make a guy great. If McNabb didn't play on one of the best defenses this decade, I doubt he would be held so highly. Of course, if they didn't spend all their money on defense, he would have a bunch of receivers, and probably have real stats, and then be rated even higher.

Personally, I've never seen the guy not play good, and not play hard. He's one of the biggest receivers not named steroid David Boston. He blocks well, catches awesome, and has big play potential. If it's legal under the bargaining agreement, which is not renewed yet, I'd sign him with a GAG order, not allowing him access to the press. Aside from that, pay him whatever it takes to close the deal. I could be wrong, but I know Garcia's acuracy sucks, and McNabb's looks inconsistant, and I think that is T.O.'s big complaint. He gets open all game, just put the ball there, and watch him run over half the little CB's in the league.

The Giants? I didn't know they were even an option... So my two favorite teams might be getting Milton Bradley and Tarrel Owens. This should be fun...

Nah....not the Giants

Imagine what TO would do to a young QB's psyche. He'd destroy it.

Can't risk the development of such a good young QB

Rkinslow, my first thought would be to agree with that, but let's think about it. Coughlin is hard nosed, work your butt off, and then work some more type guy. Hell, his team petitioned the union last year against their coach! If Eli can handle this guy, he can handle T.O.

And for everything bad T.O. does to the QB in the press, look what he does for their confidence on the field during the games. Again, just look at McNabb's #'s w/ & w/ out T.O. Look at Garcia's numbers without him. This guy was a nobody struggling to make the league.

Eli Manning w/ Owens & Burress & Shockey and with Barber running, would compete with the Colts for unstoppable offenses.

I'm not a Giants fan, and hope they don't get him. But, I think Owens would destroy Atlanta, as Vick is not acurate like Manning. And that is usually what pisses off Owens.

Anyway, someone's getting him, and it won't be Philly, SF or Baltimore. Which does say something about the guy being a cancer. So, maybe you are right after all. IF you spend that much money & draft picks, etc to get Eli, you might not want him to screwed up.

Exactly. TO needs to play with a quaterback who's up to looking him straight in the eye and telling him, "Get your ass back in the huddle and shut your whining yap, or you'll never see another pass as long as I'm out here." Problem is, if McNabb isn't that guy, who is? Favre once, but probably not now.

I think Eli could probably handle him but I don't want to risk it being a giant fan.

Hey you guys are missing the obvious one. Owens for Ricky Williams. The Eagles need a running game, and the Dolphins need a receiver, and they both have idiot players that need a change of scenery at the least. Sure it won't work out afterwards - both guys are too far gone and Ricky sucks, but better that for the E-A-G-L-E-S than just cutting the moron.

There's no way the Eagles trade for another running back after just giving Westrook a nice fat extension.

Yea, I just saw it for the first time today. He even winked at the reporter that asked the question.

Wonder what Rosenhaus thought when he saw the footage...:lol::lol:

"trading for T.O. is like making out with someone whose lips are covered in cold sores. In other words, proceed at your own risk" -ESPN's Bill Simmons

We all know about Mike Vick having herpes (x-girlfriend's lawsuit)......

Match made in hell?
