Sorry it should be Waddell not Clarkson in Round 2. jchell's clarkson vote does not count and he may make a ROund 1 pick before midnight if he wishes.

I'll take
Spalding, Big Train, Spahn, Seaver

today I'm taking Matty, Alexander, Koufax and Johnson

Just so we're all prepared, when we reach the next round people can only vote for 2 per day and they have to be from different regions (which should give everyone a chance to make some votes)

You guys are way overselling that. Clearly Randy Johnson has been a terrific pitcher for the better part of a decade. He's closing in on 300 wins and is one of only 4 pitchers with 4000 strikeouts. He's got 4 Cy Young awards (only Clemens has more) and to dismiss those who are voting for him as "Mariners fans" is just stupid.

Pedro had one of the greatest seasons any pitcher has ever had and had a run of 3-4 really good seasons. However, his longevity and his ability to be a premium pitcher has not been as good as most of the pitchers in this bracket. While I would have no problem with people voting for him it is anything but unreasonable to vote for Johnson over him.
