Come now, TR isn't near as belligerent as Chess was. That said he is a rather prickly fellow.

It was more because of the weird and deliberate misunderstanding. Sheppy quite clearly said "any QB the Seahawks ever had" which obviously includes Warren Moon.

Lets just back away from the Warren Moon part of the conversation before something silly becomes something stupider.

I admit that Warren was a 'Honk, and that I'd forgotten that.
Anyone who doesn't know that it was a slap at tyles, is missing the whole point of my hyperbole.
Dave Krieg was the Tony Romo of his day, and a fun QB to watch. Zorn was pretty good, too. Hasselback has had his moments.
I was tweaking giorge, a Foreskins fan, and tyles, a Seahonks fan.
I'm wasting my idiotic humor on you people...

@shep...Rice may be a tool but you must be completely off your rocker if you think that he sucked. He was the best WR ever, by quite a margin. Also, Tarkenton's numbers were quite good. If you go back and look at them, especially when compared to guys who played when he did, you'll see just how good they are. Like someone has already said, just because the guy has become completely a nutjob in his old age doesn't change the fact that he was a great player. And speaking of looking at stats, have you looked at Jason Campbell's? In each of his four seasons he's thrown more TDs than the last and in each of his four seasons he's thrown more TDs than INTs. That's at least average by most people's standards. His QB rating has improved every season as well, up to 86.4 last season, which puts him at 15th for 2009 (right in the middle), in front of guys like Carson Palmer, Matt Ryan, Matt Hasselbeck, and Matt Cassel. So if I was the Redskins I wouldn't freak out about Campbell. Instead, I would focus on keeping a coach around for more than two seasons so that Campbell could develop properly. And, shep, I'm glad you aren't the GM of a team I like because while Tim Tebow was a great player in college, his bad footwork, lack of experience under center, and long and slow throwing motion make him a major project. I'm thinking that it will take at least four or five seasons for Tebow to get up to speed, and even then would the changes in footwork and throwing motion be a part of his muscle memory (in other words, when under pressure would he revert to his old ways?)? I wouldn't mind taking a risk on him in the second half of the third round or later. Anything earlier than that is just an unnecessary risk.
So, back on topic, I want to hear someone make a case for Reggie White being the best player ever. Even if you don't think he was, make a case for him.

jerry rice sucked. and he still does. and he always will.
I saw tarkenton play. I met fran tarkenton right after he retired. he was a huge, huge, monstrously huge scumbag then, and he apparently hasn't changed.
I said he was a good QB. To state he is as good as John Elway may be the dumbest thing ever written. Tarkenton made his living dinking and dunking to Chuck Foreman. Think of the biggest a-hole you ever met. Think of him naked. Think of him naked and making love to your mom. Fran is more nauseating than that.

My dad has the worst sports memory of anyone I know (he's always marveling that the Titans not only exist, but used to be the Oilers). But he remembers that Dave Krieg played football at Milton College.

There's another layer that doesn't have anything to do with you.
(Also, if you're going to "slap at" someone, make sure your facts are, you know, correct.)

why?
a slap is a slap. the seahonks having moon when he was washed up doesn't change my premise.
being a foreskins fan has really made you out of sync.

My bad I kinda lost the shep train of thought progression there that made Tebow > Moon.
I just sorta thought Tyles was just being an as
shole again.
Not quite sure why anyone would ever jump to that conclusion.
