Heh, the ballots in some spots seem to be all over the place. There is a general consensus on some teams, and my tinkering with pretty numbers reveals a prestige-index style of weighting the ballots to reflect how far you all think teams will go. Here's how it played out so far, and I'll edit this post if people add their two cents' worth.
1) NY Mets - 259
2) Boston - 233
3) Cleveland - 179
4) Atlanta - 128.5
5) NY Yankees - 84
6) Chicago Cubs - 56.5
7) San Diego - 38.5
8) Anaheim (I'm not writing it out either, whisky.) - 30.5
9) St. Louis - 21.5
10) Seattle - 17

I'll be deep in the cold cold ground before I call them anything but the California Angels.

You do realize of course that the original team name was the Los Angeles Angels though right?

Well, with the big news today, here are my picks.
AL East: Boston
AL Central: Detroit*
AL West: Anaheim (I don't care if they do call themselves LA, they play in Anaheim.)
AL Wild Card: New York
NL East: New York
NL Central: Chicago
NL West: San Diego
NL Wild Card: Atlanta
AL Playoffs
Boston over Anaheim (3 to 1)
New York over Detroit (3 to 2)
New York over Boston (4 to 3)
NL Playoffs
New York over San Diego (3 to 0)
Atlanta over Chicago (3 to 2)
Atlanta over New York (4 to 3)
World Series
New York over Altanta (4 to 2)
New, what did I mean by today's news? You probably know already and yes, I am referring to the signing of one Roger Clemens by the New York Yankees. To quote one AL East official, "We were glad to see him in the National League. I wish he had stayed there." I think that pretty well sums up how all of us in the American League feel, granted Clemens won't repeat the feat of an ERA just over 2.00 from last year, but I still see him going around 3.50 and he will probably be the number three starter behind Pettitte and Chien-Ming Wang. He will get his last ring, collect his 28 million dollars, and then retire once and for all. Even though my Twins don't play in the AL East, I still cringed when I found out Clemens had signed with the Yankees.
* Only if the Twins keep Ponson on their major league roster for two or more starts, if the Twins send Ponson down and bring up Garza or Baker within 14 days of this posting replace Detroit with Minnesota.
