"The website allows teams on the free agency page to set their max bids. No team in this league will set their max bid amount higher than 85M at any point (may be lower but not higher)"

I vote no

I favor a bidding cap, but feel it should be not more than 83

You want the cap to be $83 million so you're voting against $85 million, which will then keep it at $100 million ?

I would say there is little chance of the $85 million vote passing but there is zero chance of the cap being set lower than $85 million.

that's yes from SF, OAK, CHA, LAA, LAN, BRO, SEA, TEX (8)

and no from MIN, COL, PIT, NYN, TOR, BOS (6)

with PHI, MON (2) still to vote.

if my math is correct, 11 yes votes would be needed to pass. (67% of 16 is 10.72) 6 no votes would prevent it from passing.

that's 6 no votes, so unless i'm missing something or someone else changes their mind, the proposal does not pass. correct?

Even if the remaining two teams vote yes its not enough. The motion fails.
