For once I am in total agreement with Compton.

Here in western PA, things were crazy. People who hadn't voted for years crawled out from under their rocks to put him in. People who were life long Democrats switched parties to put him in.

Alot of those people really know nothing about politics or what it takes to govern. And even worse is they don't CARE. They were brainwashed by the garbage that he spewed every time he opened his mouth. How could ANYONE truly believe that he came close to winning any of the debates? He completely embarrassed himself and did nothing but prove how clueless, unfit, out of touch with reality and flat out unprepared he was to undertake ANY major leadership role in our government, let alone the highest office.

My Facebook homepage was littered with Pro Trump HATE on a daily basis without a single Pro Hillary hate post - perhaps that says more about the company I keep.

Compton, ...

I have debated and disagreed with Deke on many occasions. The claim that he is stupid is clearly false. To state that he's not worth your time and then go on to talking with Compton is... well... stupid.

You're making rational conservatives look really bad with this name calling and referring to people as satanists.

This is hilarious. Eugenics and other Darwinian fallacies are one of the things I enjoy fighting the most. Incidentally the biggest supporter of eugenics in the world is Planned Parenthood. If you deny their involvement in eugenics movement early on in the US you are not paying attention.

Also, some of us use an online persona for fun and don't totally immerse ourselves in being that persona 24/7. You can be sure as a real person I am not much like Dwight at all.

This election had nothing to do with race Frostee. The left wants the election to be about race, abortion, etc., so that you don't vote on policy. It was about common sense ideas to fix this country, which the left had none to offer. If you believe that the US is strong economically, then you zero clue as to what's happening. The only reason things are holding on right now is because we can print money without the repercussions other countries would have, due to the fact that the world's reserve currency is the U.S. dollar.

FYI, Federal law trumps state law on immigration.

Tell that to sanctuary cities.

Also, marijuana. I believe you're incorrect on the assumption there but I can'r recall the ruling specifically.

it depends on which laws are involved. cities (which are the operative governmental bodies here) aren't obligated to tell the feds if they stop anyone who's an illegal. many cities and police departments are against (our prohibited from) asking people they interact with for that information for fear of witnesses to crimes not coming forward in fear of deportation. there's nothing the feds can do about that.

in theory most cities/states are supposed to relay to the feds when they're releasing an illegal from prison by in practice many don't, especially if they're released after a non-violent crime. the d of j has apparently looked into that as being something they could pursue, but the financial penalty to the cities can only be tied to the practice, so it's a difficult thing to do anything about. the feds couldn't legally withhold infrastructure or planned parenthood funding, for instance, over a systemic refusal to report the release of illegals from prison, because that money isn't tied to the justice system. they could theoretically withhold money for the operation of courthouses and justice system items, but that's problematic because the cities will likely just retaliate by refusing to operate the courts and then what do the feds do?

all that assumes that a trump government chooses to operate within the established case law, of course, or respect a court judgement against them if they don't. which, based on his personal history, is anyone's guess.

the most relevant court case involved the threat to withhold highway funding unless a state implemented an impaired driving law. I can't remember the specific state (Washington?) but the court held that since impaired driving was a highway safety issue the feds could legally tie the two issues together.

oh, and thanks Dwight.

I see. so a higher minimum wage, lowering educational debt for college grads, trade deals to access foreign markets, expanded training to access modern tech jobs are not common sense ideas.

walling off a third of the continent, banning an entire religious group from entering the country (while making no distinction for members of that group who happen to be citizens), a massive tax cut for the top 2% that would lead to a 20 trillion dollar increase in the national debt are common sense ideas. got it.

(I mean we can have a rational discussion about if the ideas in the Clinton platform would do what they're supposed to do, if there are other strategies that might work better or even who the economy is supposed to be designed to benefit. on some level we can discuss the impact and consequences of tax cuts to the system and, if they will work in the way that trump and the gop suggests- spoiler, they won't- where/how they might have the best impact. but at least two of trump's main ideas are some combination of impractical, illegal and prohibitively expensive, or all of the above. that's not what common sense means to me.)

Compton, I think you're barking up the wrong tree there. as he said, Dwight and I have had some interesting discussions around a lot of different topics. we often end up on opposite sides, so I don't always agree with his ideas on issues but I've never found him to hold a racist viewpoint.

What do you think happens when you raise the minimum wage?

Prices go up, less people are hired, and health insurance is dropped or reduced by the employer. At some point the wages will be raised too high, too fast, and it will have a negative impact on jobs. Just another example of liberals who have never owned or ran a company before, meddling with something they don't fully understand to get more votes from the people most likely to fall for their lies.

The rest of your point were as usual, pure nonsense. I don't have to even bother shooting them down because anyone with an ounce of common sense knows you're wrong. And the other hyperbole about a third of the country is complete BS. Standing next to you, Trump would look like the most honest person in the world.

Good grief! The left is completely losing what's left of their minds because of Trump. It's getting comical...and scary. Gun sales are going thru the roof!!!

Please! Go back and look at your posts. They almost all contain name calling and reverse racism. You do it to anyone that speaks about you, or against your leftist agenda. You're a clown, plain and simple.

By the way, I'm from the Northeast. Home to the last reasonable democrat president, JFK. That's about when your party was hijacked.

Define false news Frostee. Who decides what's false? Are you sure someone who's feeding you false news on a daily basis isn't the one telling you that Trump is telling you false news? CNN firmly established themselves as the Clinton News Network over the past year. I wouldn't trust any of the media, or the government to tell me the truth. Besides Lawyers (which many of them are), the media and government are home to the vast majority of liars in this world.

What stuff? Be specific please. Don't leave off part of the statement like CNN or ABC does. Don't leave off words like illegal either. Trump is anti-illegal immigration, and against terrorist immigration, which is why he wants to possibly cut off or be more diligent in background checks on immigration from certain countries. Do you think it's a good idea to allow people who believe in Sharia Law to immigrate to the U.S.? I find it fascinating that you want people coming here that are 100% against everything you believe in.

how do even have a discussion with someone who refuses to look at evidence? I mean if you'd prefer to believe something that's been completely made up by a website over something that was broadcast live on tv by multiple outlets, or tweeted directly from someone's personal account, I don't know how we even find a starting point for a rational conversation.

we seem to have reached a point where responsible journalism is viewed by a large segment of the population as "mainstream media lies" while stories that are invented out of whole cloth by fringe websites are taken as gospel truth by a large number of people on both sides of the spectrum. it's a dangerous situation because it would seem to prevent having any kind of conversation with a significant segment of the population.
