I have some interest in starting a new league and thought I'd see if anyone else would be interested in playing. Essentially it'll be standard rules with a loss penalties for losses more than 105 (drop 1 draft position for each 10 losses more than 105) and an added catcher rule that states that you must have a catcher in your starting lineup at the catcher position and another catcher on the roster who is not in your normal starting lineup. Essentially that means that you can't bring up the 23 year old catcher prospect and play him in LF while your back up 1B catches on days when your regular catcher is out. If your young catcher is your regular (or platoon) starting player at another position then you have to carry a third catcher.January 08, 2007 at 05:30PM View BBCode
If it is more than 6 GPD, I would be interested.January 08, 2007 at 08:03PM View BBCode
I already posted this in Off-Topic, but for the record, I'm interested.January 08, 2007 at 09:09PM View BBCode
Petite we're definately looking for 12. Tyson is starting a new 3 game/day speed (is that an oxymoron) league and was looking for 12 next.January 08, 2007 at 10:01PM View BBCode
If it is 12, I would be interested. If mr1313 is playing in that league, count me in for sure.January 08, 2007 at 10:54PM View BBCode
1313 is one of the owners who had indicated interest.January 09, 2007 at 11:29AM View BBCode

Hi man. I was hoping for a spring launch but it looks like it might be a little earlier. Late Feb/early Mar seems possible at this point. A question for you though. This league is going to be very vet heavy with some of SDs more successful owners. We're also looking for owners who will be active on the message boards as I find that to be an important part of the SD experience. I'll admit that I don't know much about you so if you could let us know a little about your SD experience and whether you think you'd fit in here that would be great.January 10, 2007 at 11:55AM View BBCode
I've been on this site for about 5 months, and I only have 1 BRAND NEW team that started in 1950. I have several other expansion teams, but I haven't won any championships yet. The closest I came was 1 game behind the wildcard winner in the OCL AA league that just ended. The previous year I barely stayed at that level. I think I survived staying in that level by about 2 or 3 games. That team is getting pretty old, so I may be dropped to the A level next year if I don't improve my team somehow. In most of my other leagues I am pretty much in the middle of the pack or worse. Do you think maybe this would be a little over my head and maybe I need to get in a league with other less experienced people?January 10, 2007 at 01:54PM View BBCode
Mike, I'd say its borderline for you. You've got enough experience that we can trust you not to make newbie mistakes but we've got a pretty experienced bunch coming here most of whom have multiple championships. I am not averse to the idea of your joining but you can look at the interest owners and see its going to be a learning experince. I'd say here's who's expressed interest at this pointJanuary 12, 2007 at 12:29AM View BBCode
I'd be interested if I didn't hate myself and want to die.January 12, 2007 at 01:51PM View BBCode
I'd be interested, even though I don't have as much experience as most of the players who have shown interest thus far.Pages: 1
